At Fountain of Life Church, we believe that giving with generosity is part of the believer's Christian character. The New Testament, with its teachings and examples, shows us the importance of giving generously of everything the Lord God gives us. It also teaches us to give with gratitude and out of love, not out of necessity nor obligation to any law (2 Corinthians 9:7). The Word of God also teaches us that there is a greater blessing in giving than in receiving (Matthew 5:7; Acts 20:35). Jesus himself, with his words and his example, demonstrates that giving is the Father's character (John 3:16) and that when we obey him in the act of giving with generosity, He blesses us generously (Luke 6:38). The Law of Sowing and Reaping teaches us that the harvest is always in proportion to the seed sown (2 Corinthians 9:6; Galatians 6:7). For this reason, at Fountain of Life, we teach and practice the act of giving and sowing in the work and the Kingdom of God.
